This 100% Fine Merino is grown and spun in the E.U., and hand-dyed in the Kootenays, exclusively for Berkana Wool Shop. The decision to offer The Tree Series stems from the origin of the word Berkana, which is the Norse/Anglo Saxon rune, meaning, "birch".
The Kootenays abound with a wide variety of impressive tree species, and most of our communitiesare literally surrounded by the majesty of tree-covered mountains. We offer you this artistic taste of our rich ecosystem through this amazingly soft (non-superwash) fine merino, hand-dyed in small, thoughtful batches, by the inimitable Lily Respair.
